Madrid, Spain - September 14, 2025: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags cross Carrera de San Jerónimo through police barriers that were opened following the cancellation of the Vuelta a España cycling race's final stage in Plaza Cánovas del Castillo. The protesters move from the Palace Hotel side toward the Thyssen Museum sidewalk, with plans to march toward the original race finish line at Cibeles. Police allowed the crossing after race organizers were forced to cancel the route through Madrid's historic center due to the massive demonstrations. More than 100,000 protesters participated in coordinated demonstrations throughout the Spanish capital demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza, successfully disrupting the Israeli-Premier Tech team's participation in the cycling event.
